Tilt Hotel Universal/Hollywood, an Ascend Collection Hotel

The hotel is small and modest but clean, ubicación is amazing but the best part of our 2 nights stay was Daniel at the front desk. Thank you Daniel for your hospitality, kindness and patience. Love you, keep up the coolness!

My family of five stayed here when we went to universal studios. We had a family suite which is basically two rooms with a door in between. It was clean, ac worked and the staff was very nice. It was less than a half mile down the road from universal. Very easy to get to. Beautiful Hollywood homes right behind the hotel. Honestly a safe spot in the Hollywood area. I'd strongly recommend to families who want more space but don't want to fork over $500+ a night for the Hilton nearby.

The room was nice and clean and had amenities such as a hair dryer, iron, toiletries, mini fridge and microwave. The receptionist was able to get our room ready right away so we could drop off our luggage and go to the park. The only negatives are that they don't serve any type of breakfast, and that the carpet in the hallways had such a strong, overpowering smell of some type of cleaner or freshener that it smelled bad. It's only a 20 minute walk from Universal City Walk and Universal Studios

Tilt is great for anyone visiting Universal Studios; less than 10 minutes away. Room was clean, with a mini fridge and microwave. No frills but good for the price. Pool is not heated and a bit small but enough for my elementary aged grandchildren to swim and splash in. In the lobby, coffee, tea and juices are offered 24/7, and they offered a few snacks, water and other drinks for purchase. I recommend they add no sugar beverage options. We only interacted with two staff. Both were friendly and helpful.

We booked this place after reading reviews. I wanted to update a few things. There is no shuttle to the park. Your best bet is to just walk the 20 minute treck up the hill. Its fairly quick and not as painful as you'd think. Coming home at night was easy because it was downhill. Again THERE IS NO SHUTTLE . There is also no food at the hotel unless you want to buy over priced snacks from the lobby. They do however supply coffee and juice at all hours if the lobby is open. The pool seemed heated to us. The elevator is old and take a bit but it works. The rooms are large and clean. I would stay here again.

This hotel was fantastic for going to horror nights! The front desk staff was so kind, and was able to accommodate checking us in early so we didn't have to do check in at 2am. The room was nice and clean and well worth the price. Only a 15 minute walk to universal so it was great to not have to park at the event. Would definitely come back again for future events!

This is an older hotel but the staff and location is perfect. Especially if you're going to universal studios. Daniel at the front desk is always so friendly and kind to us when we are here. There's a heated indoor pool as well that our kids love to use every day. There's lots of nearby places to eat within walking distance as well. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying again soon.

Pros: Easy to find, close to Universal, affordable, clean spacious room, calm atmosphere, rooms that accommodate 6 people, comfortable beds and pillows. Cons: Nothing I would call out specifically. We had the family room to accommodate 5 of us for Halloween Horror Nights and it was great! The beds and pillows were SO comfortable and better than when we stayed at a Marriott. There was tons of space and a fridge and microwave in both rooms. Everything was very clean which is my biggest concern. I only have 2 things to improve on. The scent in the hallway was like a strong cologne, it wasn’t a bad smell it was just strong (it was only in the hallways not the rooms). The bottom of some of the furniture needs to be wiped down, not an issue at all, just something I noticed to make the room even greater than it was. We will definitely stay here again!
